Make+FILM
Video was part of a solo exhibition at the NCCD in Sleaford March to May 2019 • Make + FILM Make + FILM documents experimentation and playfulness with materials and processes. In Davina Hawthorne’s 7.23 minute film she demonstrates how simple crayons, pens and materials can be used to extend the life of a textile by changing the surface. Bio plastic is used to recycle and attach scraps of fabrics together (another form of stitching). At the same time the film entices and connects the viewer to the making process.
